Some of our most meaningful work has come from asking a simple question: what’s missing? When states were overwhelmed by new clean energy challenges, we built a support center to help them get the technical assistance they needed. When Green Banks were working in silos, we brought them together. Our initiatives grew from these efforts — spotting the gaps, forging the right connections, and building what the field actually needs.
State Support Center
Through our founding initiative, the State Support Center, S2 Strategies has helped states access the expertise and capacity support they need to effectively develop and deploy policies, programs and investments that advance their energy goals. From cutting energy bills and creating jobs, to increasing local industry’s global competitiveness and reducing emissions, the State Support Center works to match states with best practices and nonprofit implementation partners that know how to help.

As the founding secretariat of the U.S. Green Bank 50, we bring together leaders from across the country to accelerate clean energy investment, unlock new markets, and support the communities that need it most.
